چکیده
In contrast to fluorescent lamps and high-power sodium lamps, the use of light-emitting diode (LED) enables control not only photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) at plant level, but also relative spectral distribution (RSPD) light because variety, even different times day, producible emitted by LEDs types. Effects on growth morphology have been investigated using several types species. However, few studies lighting methods with time-varying PPFD or RSPD published date. this paper, we summarize effects net rate (Pn) those morphology. Detailed modeling conducted reactions pathway under a cycle milliseconds seconds. The results these actual measurements Pn pulsed clearly indicate that is advantageous improve Pn. Although integrated blue red was unchanged, leaf lettuce promoted asynchronous irradiation compared simultaneous irradiation. We think blue-light monochromatic promotes elongation through expansion as primary factor in enhancement growth. addition, changes capacity caused may be involved promotion. An increasing number plants. mechanisms underlying remain elucidated.

The effect of photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) on photosynthetic response (A) to CO(2) partial pressures between 35 pascals and CO(2) compensation point (Gamma) was investigated, especially below PPFD saturation. Spinacia oleracea cv ;Atlanta,' Glycine max cv ;Clark,' and Arbutus unedo were studied in detail. The initial slope of the photosynthetic response to CO(2) ( partial different...

Beech seedlings (Fagus sylvatica L.) were grown in various combinations of three photosynthetic photon flux densities (PPFD, 0.7, 7.3 or 14.5 mol m(-2) day(-1)) for two years in a controlled environmental chamber. Dry mass of leaves, stem and roots, leaf area and number of leaves, and unit leaf rate were affected by both previous-year and current-year PPFD. Number of shoots and length of the ma...

When PPFD was increased from 200 to 600 micromoles per square meter per second, the rate of photosynthetic CO(2) assimilation showed an initial rapid increase over the first minute followed by a slower increa...
متن کاملPhotosynthetic Photon Flux Density, Carbon Dioxide Concentration and Temperature Influence Photosynthesis in Crotalaria Species
Crotalarias are tropical legumes grown as cover crops or as green manure to improve soil fertility. As an understory plant in plantation systems, these cover crops receive low levels of irradiance and are subjected to elevated levels of CO2 and temperatures. A greenhouse experiment was conducted to evaluate the independent short-term effects of photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD), externa...
متن کاملAccuracy of quantum sensors measuring yield photon flux and photosynthetic photon flux.
Photosynthesis is fundamentally driven by photon flux rather than energy flux, but not all absorbed photons yield equal amounts of photosynthesis. Thus, two measures of photosynthetically active radiation have emerged: photosynthetic photon flux (PPF), which values all photons from 400 to 700 nm equally, and yield photon flux (YPF), which weights photons in the range from 360 to 760 nm accord...
